Who is DUO-THERMO?
The Duo-Thermo company
has had a presence in Portugal since 1998 acting as
the representative and installer of a unique heating
system developed and patented in Germany. The General-Manager,
Mr. Paul J. Baltes, has generated great interest in
this market, progressively adapting the system to the
needs and tastes of its customers, a process that has
greatly enhanced the overall aesthetic quality of the
system and the possibility of integrating the Duo-Thermo
system in virtually any style of home, office or public
building.

This system has existed in Germany
since 1979, having been patented in the following year under
the patent license number 0025959 B1 by the engineer Horst Knappe.
Its widespread acceptance in
northern countries has been a great success story not only because
it has met the demands of individuals and populations already
accustomed to high-quality thermal comfort over the centuries
but also because it has surpassed classical systems in what
concerns the quality of the environment produced, the level
of energy consumption as well as its practical and clean nature
and the fact that it requires no maintenance whatsoever.
The Duo-Thermo heating system, that is, the stone that produces
the heat, is already being used in a wide range of countries
such as: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Holland,
Denmark, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Croatia,
the United States, Canada, to name but a few.
Twenty-five years of experience
under our belts, including studies and certificates conferred
by technically specialised institutions of international recognition,
have bestowed upon this system an irrefutably high level of
quality and safety as well as an aesthetic quality that can
satisfy the tastes of each and every one of our clients.
For these very reasons the Duo-Thermo system is considered to
